It may seem like an obvious statement, but it is vital that a good contract is in place prior to commencement of the works. Many projects start with no agreement in place or one that is littered with inconsistencies.

Whether it be an Industry standard form of agreement (such as a JCT contract) or something more bespoke, the contract should be clear, concise and contain no ambiguities.

 Enlist the services of a professional contracts specialist to construct the body of the agreement.
 HAC will write the schedules for the contract. These include technical, programme and payment schedules.
 We can negotiate and document any penalty clauses.
